TOP QUARK with Andrea Giammanco Ph.D., an Italian Senior Experimentalist in Belgium.

An italian particle experimentalist and senior researcher Andrea Giammanco, shares his knowledge and explains the peculiar behavior of quarks. While quarks have interesting properties to them, there is one quark in particular that stands out more than the rest. This happens to be the top quark. Andrea takes us through the history and experimental method used to detect quarks with the highlight being the top quark. In addition to quarks, elementary particles and the standard model, it is explained that the standard model is far from the end of the story.

A YOUNG INDIAN PHD STUDENT AT CERN, with Haradhan Adhikary, an Indian Experiementalist in Poland.

“From nothing to something”. That is how the 24 year old Indian PhD student Haradhan Adhikary described himself. He came from a very small village but his passion for Mathematics gave him an enthusiam to persue his dream to get a PhD program in Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce Poland where he is currently working as an experimentalist in Collaboration with CERN in Geneva Switzerland. A very humble young man, who neigher wants to be called a scientist nor a physicist, but a learner. Join me on exploring every step Haradhan took that brought him from nothing to something.
